Cliona Diamond MCSP – Chartered Physiotherapist – Clinical Director
Cliona is the practices’ lead clinician and has over a decade of experience as an athlete, coach and healthcare practitioner most notably specialising as a Senior Physiotherapist within Pelvic Health dealing with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Pregnancy Related Pain (Pre and Post Natal) as well as aiding a range of athletes specifically in advice on training through pregnancy and physio-led programming for their return to exercise post pregnancy.
Cliona is a dedicated athlete with over 20 years’ experience in sport including Triathlon, Distance Running, Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice with the unique experience of also being an experienced Triathlon Coach.
Cliona holds an accredited First-Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a fully registered and insured member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, the Health Care Practitioners Council, meeting the legal requirements in the UK to practice as a Chartered Physiotherapist as well as being a Member of the professional body for Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
With experience in both private sector as an MSK Physiotherapist working with the likes of Stirling Triathlon, Central Athletics Club, Hibernian Football Club and working at high level events including the European Indoor Athletics Championship as well as Public Sector as a Band 6 Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist within Forth Valley NHS, Cliona brings a host of expertise to clients with a strong, evidence-based, approach to treatment and rehabilitation of a variety of injuries and disorders.
Cliona brings the unique advantage of having the experience of being a mother herself to 3 young boys, including twins, providing her with first hand experience and knowledge of the added complications of returning to and continuing exercise following a pregnancy.
